I'm not seeing much sun.
 I would enjoy a whole sun of full sun!!!!
Did see 40 for maybe an hour, then dropped down to 38.
Snow must be melting, because I see all the things I should of picked up before it snowed.

Looks like I will get some full sun today!!!
Clouds will come in around 4.
I have 22 and I will say it will get up to 50 today.
Looks like about 7 days of 50° weather. Some rain coming.

24° here this morning, high around 50° today. Lots of sunshine.

Planed that white cedar early this morning, was on the green side, probably easier on the knives.     Also edged them on the table saw. Going to let them dry on the rack with stickers between and a couple clamps for 2 or 3 weeks with stove heat and low humidity.  Probably 90° out there now. Need to replace my bluebird houses.

I was out cutting / clearing on top of an area of sandpit we're opening to screen.  After a tank of fuel I was down to a tshirt!  Temp showed 51 on the way home.

Neighbor was out pruning his apple trees. Spring is coming. No flocks of robins yet, but there has been one around for 2 weeks, I hear it in the maple grove in the mornings. None have come around the yard yet, but it's going to be pretty much bare in a week of 50's weather. No black birds yet or killdeer. When the killdeer get here, then it is spring. 

Ground hogs are out to, I saw one in my travels when I went to the cedar mill Thursday.

The weather forecasters/predictors are painting a possibly alarming picture for tomorrow.  We are dead center of the red area in the first picture.  Things could get rough:

Dropped to 26° before morning because it made ice and now 34° and sunny. But not crystal clear. I see some locals tapping this week.

Was 65° and 40% RH in the shop this morning.

I have 32 and heavy fog. High looks to be 52 today and some sun is coming.

44° for the high so far (midnight) and 39 for the low. It's 41 now with solid overcast as that system heads this way from the west. Rain beginning tonight, then through Monday it looks like, off and on. So I'll get what work done I can today and then play the next 2 days by ear.
 Looks like that system is getting close to Lynn now, wonder how that's going?

Sun came out a little before 10:30.
Looks like some rain is coming to wash the sand off the snow bankens so they will melt faster.

So far, so good here.  We have had tornadoes NW and one SE of us as I speak and it looks quite strong.  The weather guy is urging folks to go to their storm shelters.

We still have one line of storms that will pass through an hour from now but it does not look threatening.

Yeah, 54°, sun and wind is blasting away at the snow. Nice spot to sit in front of the shop door on the south end.

I think we are going to get that rain up here Sunday night and it will be a 50° rain. Basically 50° for 24 hrs.

A couple first.
Yesterday the car felt really warm being out in the sun. First time that happened all year.
Seems to more clouds then sun lately. but yesterday was full sun all day.

Today I went out with a long sleeve shirt to cut wood. At 52° it was warm outside.

Much damage in South Central Mississippi from the many tornadoes that are continually traveling through.  Sorta like a freight train, one after the other.  I have not heard of any personal injuries.  I am now seeing damage in the East Central part of the state.

Do most houses around you have basements to shelter in?  Or do more people have storm shelters, or just head to the middle of the house?

That type of weather scares me, I'll take blizzards over that any day!

There are virtually no basements nor actual storms shelters here.  Our water table is such that moisture/water intrusion would be guaranteed.

Our safety place is our bathroom shower which ain't safe but it's what we have.  It's in the interior of our brick home and has another bath behind it.


Here she is sitting in the shower with her pillow, blanket, and phone.  She also would kill me dead if she knew that I posted the above picture.

We have reports of fatalities in the adjoining county SE of us.  Much destruction.

My concern and Prayers are now for the people East and Northeast of us.  This thing is loosing the warm energy from the Gulf of America, but it is still packing a wallop.
