Biological Woodsmen's Week October 15-21

H. H. Horse Loggers from History Channel's Ax Men,
Healing Harvest Forest Foundation
and Draftwood are having a Biological Woodsmen's Week October 15-21, 2012, educating the public with restorative forestry and  single tree selection using horses for harvesting the trees.

    On site demonstrations,
    Seminars,
    Round pen discussions
    A draft horse pull on Saturday the 20th between all the draft horse teams that have been working in the woods all week.

The use of the Horse for Forest Management is becoming more popular and there are even Apprentice programs available

After the draft horse pull, there will be a very special guest speaker, Mr. Wendell Berry, winner of the Presidential Humanities Award in 2011.
He is such a rare treat...a wonderful author and masterful storyteller...a pure joy!

The event will be held at New Meadow Farm in Raphine, VA
