Grew up just north of Fostoria. The manufacturing plant where I used to work closed recently. It had been in operation on that site since 1905. The company has another facility in Wapakoneta that I get out to occasionally.  Nice area, but like you said, a lot of cornfields to drive through to find some trees.

thanks for the compliments guys it is a real honor to receive the award and I realize that I am blessed with way more than I deserve. do what I love everyday and so far I go home safe every night. what more can a man want?? ;)

The company in Fostoria was Seneca Wire. When they had a fire wiping out their heat treating department in the summer of 2004, they rebuilt in in Wapakoneta and named that plant Fenix, LLC.
