Anyone ever heard of this wood?  I have a customer needing a quote on wood dowels made with this material.  They are used for oven handles on commercial ovens.  I have a sample and it is dyed black throughout or else the wood has a black color.  It has long straight grain and is rather dense.

Any info or getting pointed in the right direction would be helpful.

Thanks,

Dewey

Sounds like Ebony or someone is trying to imitate it.

Stamina wood is an impregnated composit wood. It's used a lot for knife handles and such.

Charlie,

Thanks for the info and the site.  It gives me a better understanding of what I am dealing with.  I don't know if I can work this into and order or not but it is an ongoing thing every month.  Hopefully with your information I can start to look in the right places.

Thanks again,
Dewey
