POSTON WIDEHEAD

Members meet, exchange stories and interest and a lot of times things click.
Here is a pick of member WARREN46 bringing a load of Red Oak to my mill. He stays aware of where trees are being sawn and intercepts them before they are hauled to the land fill. This tree came out of North Carolina.
Sometimes I saw for him and sometimes I buy from him. We would have never hooked up without the Forum.

There must be a jinks about hauling logs out to York, SC.  The last load of logs I blew a tire on the trailer.  This afternoon just as I was getting on I-77 headed home empty the truck got all squirrelly and when I stopped (in a safe place) I discovered that a tire on the pickup was dead flat.  I picked up a nail somewhere.

I am very glad that it did not happen when I had 7000 lbs of logs on the trailer.  Got the tire changed and am home again after a nice shower.

It is nice to do business with Dave and expect to grow our relationship.

Those are some nice sized logs.  What will be made out of them?

First of all I'll flat saw the ends and Anchor Seal. And as soon as I get caught up on custom sawing, I'll probably slab these 8/4 live edge on the 2 BIG logs and Mantle saw the smaller one. WDH gave me some good ideas when I was in Georgia.   smiley_thumbsup

We have talked to many folks on the forum, and it has all been good, but the laughs from the post have been worth the weight in gold,,  It seems like from the last pic I saw of Poston, he was re cooping from some good eating at the sycamore project,   he may not have the stamina for such a feat as a dove and grit project,
