Chainsaw milling what saw?

Allot of really good info here guys. I appreciate it all. Going to try my 455 with a skip tooth ripping chain and see what results I get from that. That should lead me to what saw would be best for my application.

I used a chainsaw mill for years, and made a bar so that I could run two Husky 2100s.  It worked well, but it was slow, particularly when cutting maple.  I bought a Norwood mill and get excellent results with it, but if I was doing it again, I would build a bandsaw from some of the examples that have been uploaded to youtube.  The bandsaw is much faster, the wood is more accurate dimensionally, and you waste less wood.  Years ago, I bought the Norwood adapter to sharpen my own blades, but the newer sharpeners are designed much better, and it isn't as much of a problem to set up the unit.
