hey guy im no math teacher so I could use you help can someone tell me how to figure out how much my dump trailer will hold of cut split 16'' wood thrown in not piled I was told theres a cubic foot measurement per cord thrown in not piled? my trailer is 12' by 7' x 3.5'
my dump truck is 14'x7.5'x 4'
I use 190 for tossed wood.
Trailer. 1.5 cd
Truck. 2.2 cd
I believe that math is correct.
I don't mean to look dumb but we measure in face cord. 4x8x16" what you told me is bush cord correct. ?
Multiply Brendonv's numbers by 3 if face cord... as it is 16" wood... for a rough estimate.
Toss a few loads and stack them neatly... that is your best bet and with pics will save you a lot of argument or suspicion by your customers.
For measuring, multiply the length x height x width (all in feet) so the face cord of 16" wood is
4 x 8 x 1.33 = 42 cuft (if neatly stacked). Tossed the volume is more like 63 cuft for a face cord.
Mine were fulll cord numbers. 128 cu ft.
