Cutting Edge

Hello All,

I'm trying to figure out what size hyd. motor I need to run a debarker.  The motor will drive an arbor/shaft via v-belt turning a 6" blade.  This will allow it to be geared up or down, so there are more hyd. motor options.  De-barker motor will run off the "Excess Flow" port of the flow control valve.  "Controled Flow" runs the carriage drive/traverse motor.  I'm unsure of required hp, rpm's, etc. requirements to run one properly.

Pump - 6.67 gpm @ 3600 rpms
Carriage hyd. motor - 4.5 cu. in disp./rev. - operates at about "3" on the scale of 1-10 on flow control valve.
De-barker hyd. motor - ???

Thanks in advance

Maybe a better questions to ask:

What are the specs. (rpm, hp, etc.) for y'alls mills with hyd. motors, or elec., running the de-barker/mudsaw.  Maybe with that information I could work backwards to figure out mine.  :P  Thanks
