or out in the Atlantic ocean.
Have a great trip!

If I were 400 miles from home, I'd still be in Texas, half way to New Mexico, or in Florida. Kinda thought at 400 miles, Jeff would be Canada. ;D
I went to Alabama one time. :-/ ::)
400 miles N Gagnon Quebec
400 miles S southern Maine or way too north MASS
400 miles E 1/4 to The Emerald Land

Jeff, I swung by earlier today to take down da for sale sign and a guy stopped to see about renting already. :)
Chet, remember, NO CUNSULTING FORESTERS!
Ya might want to think dat over. Da guy dat stopped had a purty fat wallet.
Is this a daily, weekly, or monthly rental type unit. Is it by a lake or any water how many acres and is it ATV compatilble? Thanks for any infor looks like a cute place. 8)
Hey remember we are portable if you need any logs cut into lumber for you up there. We like the UP also we also cut the trees down if need be.
Yea but they get saw dust and marking paint all over everthing, Well, if you think hes got enough for a big security deposit, but we cant let him mess stuff up and get off Scott free. ;D
Congrats on your purchase. Landlords now. Who would have thunk. Old Butch been looking for a relaxing place to spend a few weeks in the summer and he just might like the UP.
Shopteach, I think I heard Butch say last time he took you on a vacation rental you chewed up the rug and he lost his deposit :)
DanG dog, never learned to keep his mouth shut. Ha, he off the vets tomorrow.
Great Scott! Dont mention chewing pets!
I seem to be picking up a recuring theme to your last few posts Jeff, and I didnt want you to get off Scott free :D
Aahh......Grasshopper. ;)
Sometimes when you get an opportunity like this ya gotta just ron with it. :)
Ya got sumpin agin consulting foresters, boss man? We don't leave no sawdust, thems loggers and mill rats what do that. An marking paint to DanG spensive to waste on rent property. Consulting foresters good renters, never home, usually pay, and they aint looking ter cut yer yard trees. ;D
Hey that place looks familiar, my UP office. I'll be up there the first of next week and then up to Michigan Tech for a Forest Certification Seminar.
Yooper Realty is going to appraise it for me.
It's in the city limits of Iron River on 1 1/2 acres, 2 bedroom home, two garages, shed, new vinyl siding, new roof, new water system, TV cable, 100 yards from the famous Ice Lake and city park, 150 yards from the hospital, all city services, excellent hunting, fishing, camping, skiing, snowmobiling, wildlife viewing etc.etc.
Great Investment property!!

Ya guys musta had a lot of time on your hands. Did Chet take you for a Riverside Pizza??
Another plus I forgot to mention.
Yep, we had Pizza. I think I ate 27 pieces. ;D I am trying to figure out how to get that Timber arcade game outta there. Ever notice it?
Jeff if ya get dat timber game ya better get Thumper some knee pads. If I remember correctly she kept trippin' over da stumps. :D :D :D
QuoteChester, I tink da gig is up. :-/
Oh well. :-/ At least we made good money on da folks dat booked it fur da big party over weekend. ;D
I'll have to check that Timber game out closer. Usually I can't get close to it for the crowd.
Did you check out any "real timber"? Cruise the Ottawa N.F.?
Ron we didn't drive around too much, but we did put on a couple of miles. We went to Eagle River, WI. to check out some junk shops, on the return trip I took the scenic route back through Phelps so I could show Jeff where you did your log diving on Big Twin. Then we stopped at Cooks Run Cedar ( Carl Nieminen's son Johns operation ) to check out their log siding operation. Also had to show them John's house on Golden Lake, John's house is the Woodmizer 2003 personal best Grand Champion. This is one of the many houses my son Jeff worked on as a carpenter for Cooks Run.
We also went out to Chicagoan Lake to look at the house that son Jeff's high school students are building. The home is for Dave Andreski ( Tony Andreski's son ).
Here is the link to Cooks Run's site, http://www.cooksruncedar.com Lots of great pics.
Sounds like you gave Jeff a "grand tour". Some neat things.
He'll have to get up there for the Fireman's Tournament. (After you fill up the wine cabinet, that is.) Some great looking furniture. I need to stop by.
It's official now. The "UP Office" is listed with Yooper Land Reality www.yooperlandrealty.com. Listing # 214788. A great Yooper place.
Land contract? Low down payment? Low payments? Come on, I'm yer pal, yer buddy, yer, ah, never mind. ;)
I take better pictures. Here is theirs on your listing Ron
http://www.tcoinc.com/yooperland/214788.html
They might join the Forum since they have many acres of forest land to manage and/or sell.
Don't call da folks at Yooper Realty tomorrow 'cause dey won't be able to hear ya unless ya talk real load. ;D I'm helping son Jeff put a new deck on their offices this weekend, we start jackhammering da old concrete in da morning. :-/
Chet,
Send a picture. Are you sure that the State Historical Society will approve of any changes to that log building? It's a cultural resource for Iron River. ;)
