Well, it seems like your not really giving away a sawmill - just selling chances to win one. You have to buy blades to be in the drawing so the only people who have a chance to win one all ready have a mill.

We realize we can't please everyone.
This is a way to give back to those who support us in a win-win fashion, and it guarantees that the mill will go to someone who truly is a sawyer.
We've given mills away in the past to just anyone and we may do this again in the future.

I agree with the customer appreciation, but I suppose in all reality you are raffling off a mill.

I agree your not really giving away a mill, your raffling a mill to people that already have a mill.

Is this cold weather making people testy or what. Tim and the boys at Cook's are tops in my book. I am going to call in an order soon. When is the drawing?

You know, you don't have to have a sawmill to order a blade. As a teenager, I bought 4 nice hubcaps and didn't even own a car. Told mom that I needed a car to go with my hubcaps.  ;) It worked too, but it wasn't mom getting me the car, I bought it myself.

I've bought grinding wheels and such from Cook's and they are good people to do business with, so buy a blade or two, maybe you'll end up with a mill to go with them. :)

I buy from them myself. I don't want another mill right now though. Two is enough for the moment.

Heh.  The Mrs knows I want a sawmill very badly.  She'd be mighty darn suspicious though, if a bunch of blades showed up all of a sudden.  ;D  Seriously, I'd order but we're saving up for adoption.  Sure would be neat to see one of you guys win it.

Good luck, Joe!  And thanks to Cooks for running this giveaway!!

CooksSaw

I see Joe found the date for the drawing.

There are some really good people on this forum and it would be great for one of you to win that sawmill. Especially since we will be doing an article on it for our catalog and one or two of the sawmill magazines out there will be running the story as well.  It would also bring some more publicity for the forum as well.
We hope you all the best.

I agree with the first part of your post Lee!
Cook's is not raffling off a mill!
It doesn't cost any extra to get your name in the bucket!
If you buy blades, your name goes in there automatically!
On the other hand, if it was a raffle, you would pay more than the cost of the blades to get your name in the bucket!

James,

I also appreciate that you are giving away a mill.  You certainly don't have to do that, and it's a nice way to get people to try your blades.

I saw this promotion in your catalog some months ago and I will repeat the suggestion I made to the person I talked to on the phone.

Don't give away a mill.  Give away an edger.

Virtually everyone who orders blades already owns a mill.  Many of us don't own an edger.  There are probably some, like me, who do own an edger but would like a better one, like a Cooks.

Think about this if you intend to repeat this promotion next year.

Loren that would be great wouldn't it....I already have an AC 36 but an edger would be nice.......But I  would drive down and get the mill if I won it...I just got my new Cooks mag. yesterday and glanced through it...guess they didn't have time to get it in this issue who won...Tim
Never explain, your friends don't need it, and your enemies won't believe you any way.

Loren,

Giving away an Edger is a great idea. Maybe in the near future that is something we will do.

Thanks,
James

BP,

Yes, time didn't allow for us to get the article put together on the winner of the MP-32 but look for it in our 2010 Issue 5 catalog towards the end of the year.

Thanks,
