tf87 it would also help for you to take a picture of a planetary cover as well. mine are rockwell pr 52 axles 8 bolt wheels 18.4x34 tires. the planet gear shafts are brass you can see outside the cover and have a set screw to help hold them if they start to turn. I have put 2 planetaries in mine so far but if you need just a planet gear, shaft,or both you can still buy them Harolds logging up here in hampden has them instock gear is $52 and shaft is $46 I just found this 2 weeks ago when I got a waterpump for the 353 in mine

mines a forwarder .its over 13ft wide with them on .i will try pics tmrw.ill see if i can get close up of my set up for bolting the wheels  together. you use a smaller outside tire  it only touches in soft ground.mine runs 23 x26 inners withjd440a outers i think there30x19?not sure will look tmrw.sure helps it turn .they steer hard with deuls on hard ground.it sure looks tough with them on. ive never been stuck with them on.

You busted some teeth off the planetary, can't remember the name on that 8 bolt.

I think i have said this before, that is not a C5, it is called the Pulp Wood Special, its a C4 with birth defects.

They took a C4 and put a 353 Detroit in it with 18.4/34 tires on it, the clutch or the 8 bolt rears will not hold up to the tires or the hp.
Heres a good example, take the C4 , i bought with a 4 cylinder Ford gas with 16.9/30 tires and put a 353 Detroit in it with 18.4/34 tires on it, its off to the races , but will it hold up.

I've ran the C4 with a Perkins and a C4 Ford diesel with 16.9/30's, than along came the Pulpwood Special, it was the talk of the time, everybody would ask have you seen the new C4 Treefarmer it will out skid anything. ::)
My brother bought one, you couldn't compare it with the Perkins or ford diesel, when you romped on the Detroit it turned in to a animal compared to the others, first to go were your ears, than your cloths from the smell of oil and oil, than a broken axle or planetary or a Burt up clutch, but dam she would pull wood.  ;D

TF87 if i were you i'd have my eye out for a real bodied C5D with 18.4/26 tires, the reason for smaller tires is, rides better and pulls better, and if you want it to pull with no monkey business, load the tires or put bear paws on the front.

I'm not real sure what his machine is but I had one just like it years ago.  they both said C5 on the ID tag 8 lug wheels with 18.4 X 26 tires and 3-53 detroits.

Planatery was busted just like lumberjack48 said. lumberjack48 i could have bought a c5D for$1500 with good tires, heavy axles, winch and winch controls. i was going to put the axles from it on mine. :) a friend of mine bought it and is in the process of putting a new motor in it :)
