First project; TF kid's playhouse

Happy New Year!

I've been reading, and thinking, and acquiring tools and think it's time to start planning my first TF project.

I thought I'd build my kids a playhouse. The size would be 8' x 12'. They (and I) like the idea of a kind of Fairy/Hobbit/Hansel and Gretel house, Storybook style, etc. I'd use traditional building techniques and materials. I think this would be a lot of fun for both them and me.

I have a Woodmizer and plenty of wood. I have all my TF tools ready to go and my Sketch-Up skills need polishing...

Your thoughts and wisdom would be appreciated.

Just remember not to get discouraged if it takes more time than you think.  Many have built the Sobon cabin frame as a first project, but building that or building a bigger house frame with the same number of members wouldn't be that much different in terms of cutting time.  A joint is a joint, almost regardless of frame size.
