I have a big pile of pine, mostly red that I am currently working on. Most has been sitting for 4 years or so for reasons beyond my control. The wood has been up off the ground and the bark mostly fallen off so it isnt rotten.  Unfortunately a lot of it is very twisted, knotty, and is a general how-to manual of less than desirable characteristics.  The big stuff I am hitting with my Lucas slabber for table tops and what not. The nicer logs are turning into building lumber. I can also saw 1 x 6 stock dry it and have it milled into car siding at the local mill for about $100 a thousand bdft. A lot of the logs wont even make that though.  Is there anything else I can saw them into that will sell? 6 x6, 4 x 4s?  There is a pellet plant down the road that might take them but its a long shot. Otherwise they will be cheap firewood.  Any ideas?  I hate giving stuff away.

I like Lucas Mills and big wood.  www.logboy.com

i cut almost all my pine into barn siding or roof sheeting.  instead of buying osb, i am just using it instead.
