Just wondering about 353 detriots out of Clark , tree farmers was told just have to cut new holes on top for breather and exhaust and rad moved . Is this true

Depends on the model of the TJ and Clark. 353 out of Clark will have been set up for power shift using a convertor and charge pump for transmission pressure and oil flow,  and a supply hose from the transmission to the convertor, also will need a transmission oil cooler, Clark has one in the rad. Is the Tree Farmer a standard shift or power shift.
Need a little more info.

you have a right hand and  left hand rotation motors and your linkages will be different also

I can't speak for the Clark's but the difference between a C5D Treefarmer and a 230D Timberjack are, both are right hand rotation but the governor, blower, and cylinder head are reversed. On the Timberjack engine the blower is on the left, the governor is on the right and the exhaust is on the right. Treefarmer engine has the blower on the right, governor on the left and exhaust on the left, as viewed from the driver's seat. I have interchanged them in both machines and the only issues are the location of the exhaust pipe, the connection for the fuel pedal, and how the intake mounts to the air filter. The water connections remain the same on both.
