I have a manual Dina sharpener that came with my mill and am having trouble getting it set right. The lowest setting is 8 , I assume is °. Am I right? Can I go lower somehow? How do I tweak to follow the gullet and up back of tooth?  Thanks  Keith

I have an automatic and a manual Dinasaw sharpener. The lowest setting is 8°. If you want less hook angle you need to raise the blade guide on the left side. The blade will be running down hill as it moves around the sharpener. On my sharpener 1/8" is about 2° difference.

Here is a link to the Dinasaw site. You can down load the manual for the sharpener. It will show you how to adjust for different blades.

Thanks Brian_, Mine is older model,it has no gears.I'll have to contact them to see if I need to use different settings. I thought that you might have to move that guide or take head out of square to get lesser angle.  Keith
