When I got my saw it was second hand it didn't have quater scale on it. So i got one for it but am not shore where to set it to the inch scale. And second not for shore on how to use it when it is set.. I know it will make life beter but just haven't had anyone close to me to see it used.. Thanks

If your mill is adjusted correctly the inch scale will be exact distance from a down turned tooth to the bed rail, when the blade had tension on it. The quarter scale on 4/4 lumber should be set at  1 1/8 to 1 3/16 inch on the inch scale. The scale should have several boards laid out on it. Just drop from one mark to the next.

My WM quarter scale is a magnetic tape that sets beside the inch scale.  So you just slide it up or down on the cant to start your first cut.  Works great that way.
