Anyone know anything about such a beast?
I picked this up today.
I am wondering what the powerhead should be on it.
At the moment it has a typical '70's cast powerhead but I can't seem to find any model # markings. It is approx. 8in long front to back (no handle) and about 6in wide (not including the clutch).
The foot has the Homelite XL Bushcutter name on it and the clutch/cutter plate has 83765 number molded into it.
The fuel cap says "Mix roughly 1/2 pint of oil to each gallon of gas" This sounds like around 1:16 (US) or 1:20 (IMP) ratio. Should they still be using such a rich mixture with modern mixing oils? The smoke will sure keep the bugs away!
The Homelite XLBC has the same power hear as the XL-12 or Super XL. This is
a great unit for large brush cutting.
