Title: I wonder
Post by: Al_Smith on June 16, 2016, 09:09:32 PM
In the last several years I've taken down scads of dead ash trees ,quite a few 80 to 100 footers as a matter of fact.I didn't notice it until today ,it appears to be a zillons of 18" saplings that appear to be ash .

I have several that where not entirely dead that sprouted from the roots of the stumps  and are about 12 feet tall now .When I get a chance I'll get a leaf and compare. This might lead to some hope yet for the ash .

Ash seeds can lay in the duff for years, then sprout it they get light.  That is a good thing.
