Has anyone had any luck bleaching blue stain in white pine. A little blue is ok, but some of the timbers are black. Thanks.

Hydrogen Peroxide or  Oxalic Acid may work, I suspect results will vary. May require more than one application to.

Thanks. I don't remember bleach doing very much. I'm not trying to eliminate the stain, just knock it back a bit.

I've done it on Red Pine. Put a mix of water and bleach in a spray bottle and spray it on. Multiple applications will be required. It seemed to me that direct sunlight helps speed to process.

When searching "wood bleach" I found that oxalic acid is sold as wood bleach. That would be where I'd start testing.

I just received a load of EWP. I don't really have a choice on when they come as I buy all my logs from a local Arborist who uses a mini Ex on all his job sites. Had an order for some EWP beams and asked if he had some logs, boom... 2 days later here is what I have. He wanted to bring another 2 loads but I had to refuse. Hard to saw no.
My real question for you guys is ...Can I turn my sprinkler on these logs to prevent blue stain in the logs. It is town water so it has chlorine in it. And how much do I have to spray on it?
What can I spray on the lumber when I saw it?
We are in the heat and humidity of summer up north here, 80-90F and lots of humidity, not quite what some of you southern boys have but hot for us up north.
