I was all fired up to post a rant until I read Tom's comment in the Orange Beach topic about relating posts to forestry. But I can't help myself.

As I was admiring the wood floor :D in the Staples Center I happened to hear our national anthem being sung by Christina Aguilera.

If you missed it, consider yourself lucky. I have never heard it butchered like that.

But then, I have never heard a final song on Leno or Letterman that I would want to hear again either.

I guess it's just me, living past my time.

There is no need to say 'unleaded regular gas'. It's all unleaded. Just say 'regular gas'. It's not the 70s anymore. (At least that's what my wife tells me.)

While I didn't hear this rendition of it, I have heard it butchered plenty of times.  Remember Roseanne Barr's version of it?   >:(
