We the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible, for the ungrateful. I've done so much for so long, with so little, I'm now qualified to do anything, with nothing, forever.

There is a few top handles in the 6lb range new now days. Check the redmax, solo, stihl, tanaka, If I find the links again i will update someday.

redmax at 6.4lb that can be bought in US. If you would go one more pound to say 7.5lb your selection of alot better saws comes into play in the 30cc + range.

Stihl  MS 192 T 30.1 cc

The best small saw I ever used was the MS-180c with a 14" bar and for $230 it was well worth the money. I cut down some 12" oaks with it. Using the chain from Baileys really woke the saw up vs. the Stihl chain.

If all I was cutting was firewood, I would go with the 12" bar.

Very light and nimble, I bought mine to cut tree tops.

I even let tree climbers use it.

Check out your local Stihl dealer.....MS192 in either top or rear handle. If you want to really step it up, the MS200 saws cant be beat!

The MS200 with the rear handle is a treat to use.

--and the 200 T is even more of a treat if you are so inclined to climb the tree and flop it it from the top down . ;D

I have two tanakas that I use on the ground. They are nice when they dont have oiler problems.

Well ,little feather weight saws are a consideration if you are going to disect a tree from the top down .They are pretty much a moot point though if you are working on the ground . Just about anybody can handle a 15 pound saw .
