Projects from a newish woodworker

I turned a few gear shift knobs!

 I have some thin, fancy wood sitting around so I made a few platters (for lack of a better thing to call it)

 This is my first big real project. We needed a dining room table, this is just 2x6 and 4x4 but I'm happy with the result, especially the base. The 4x4 were boring but the curves I sanded in made them look pretty cool. I didn't have my planer or jointer for this so the glue up leaves a bit to be desired.

 This is some mystery wood that didn't turn as nicely as I would have liked.
