I am building a hammerbeam workshop. I have seen two methods for raising hammerbeams.
1. Assemble the entire bent and raise as a single unit.
2. Set the posts and hammerbeams, then raise the rafters, collar ties, hammer posts as a unit and drop onto the posts/beams.

Any advice as to which method is easier?

Thanks for any advice I can get!

The only hammer beam bent I ever was involved with, we raised it whole with posts and everything.

My nick-name for my son was 'hammer beam'.
Raised him whole.
The wife was a big help.
He's good now.
