how thick is your firebox. Mine from Central Boiler is not as thick as you think

It not 10 gauge like some say, it's not .25" like Central Boiler told me today. It 17 gauge, that's right 17 gauge. The automotive industry uses 19 gauge for most common truck parts which is great if I need to fix mine I'll have material close by. If you think it's just wear in one area you would be wrong. Central Boiler refuses to stand by their product and repair my 7 year old unit with a "complete 25 year warranty" They will only do so if I pay them more that 50% of the stove's cost. Clearly the inside is not corroded.

mine is all most 1/2in     after relining in side  don't just plate the hole do the hole side or you will be chasing holes for ever trust me  :)

I had that issue with a Mahoning. They advertised as 1/4" but it was more like an 1/8". My current boiler is advertised as 1/2" but who knows. The house is warm so im content for the moment. :D
