Do they get in fresh sawn white pine?

The bugs in that log will get 1/4 ID x 2" long. you will hear them soon.  :laugh: :laugh: ;)

If you want to avoid bugs in Pine, remove the bark!   ;)

Ambrosia beetles.  They will leave once the wood starts to dry.  Looks like that is what is already happening.  It will not take long for Elvis them to leave the building.

Then when it is dry the powder post will move in if any around.

Not the lyctid PPB that we hate in hardwoods.  They do not infest pine.

  they will go in the cambium layer in w. pine, not a problem.

They'll snack on pine.  The Dutch barns I worked on had bad ppb damage on some hardwood parts, and they also went  after the white pine timbers.
