Sure hope that you three are having a Super Happy Birthday!  Charlie, I can picture you tearing into a brand new can of peas, and this time having a real fork to eat them with. I know that that doesn't always happen.  Jeff, I can picture sharing his birthday cake with Icy and others, all the while while sharing his fork with Icy. Brother Noble, it will be a real treat for you when you finally get rid of those stoopid cows, and you folks can attend the FF pig roasts at will.

Happy Birthday, each in your own way.     8)

Happy Birthday Noble and Charlie and thanks for the birthday wishes to me everyone. It was hot hot hot here for a Michigan Boy. I spent the day trying to make a pressure washer work and eventually had to borrow one to get the pigroaster all spic and span. Tammy took me out to eat this afternoon and then earlier this evening some people dropped by to make me look foolish and eat cake.

Cakes all gone.  I think the average age at my birthday tonight was quite low. It was mostly kids and they gobbled it up. I'm grateful. :)

Oh, and Icey did get cake and ice cream spoon fed to her from me of course.  :)

I was having a hard time holding it up. Rough day at PT. :)  I was caught quite off guard by the gift and the photo. I was asked to go outside and look in her trunk  Donk, from what I understand the ms 362 is a bit more than a thinning saw.  :)

First new saw I have ever owned. :)

That's a mighty fine saw, Jeff.  Congrats!  I absolutely love my ms-361 and am pretty sure you're going to really enjoy that 362.  ;)

Jeff

Funny, I managed to get my husquvarna started yesterday left handed, and ran it for about twenty minutes for the first time since surgery. I got most everything I needed cut up, cut up with it. Then I get this saw today.

Yah, that's a "rough day at PT" look for sure.  ;D ;D

Hopefully the PT work is going ok for you, or as good as can be expected at this phase.

My SIL who is a PT recently had surgery on his shoulder and I gave him a needed ride to the PT for an early treatment. On the way home, he said he'd buy lunch so stopped at a tavern for a sandwich. One of his PT patients saw him there with the shoulder ice pack on, and got a good chuckle out of seeing the shoe on the other foot, so to speak. :)

That old Husky is just as tough and reliable. Mine sits for months and years and a few pulls and new gas and she's awake again. ;) Mine hasn't got 50 hours on it. 10 years old now. :D

I've always had trouble sharpening a chainsaw, mostly because it's never been my normal tool. Give me a 56 inch circle saw and I shine. :)

Been working that old Stihl brush saw in some field planted white spruce. Some places involves as much but pruning as snipping off, to open the lower crown to access other trees and so they'll fall. All in all, I did manage to cut 6.5 acres this week. Each tank burns for about an hour and a half because I don't rev my saw out like a screaming jet. Don't need to, got sharp blades. ;D Some spruce buts are 5-6", sucks through in less than a second.  Of course the larger buts require more rpm's, but briefly, and two cuts of course.  :)

CHARLIE

Well Noble, I hope your birthday was a real nice relaxin' one.  For y'all that don't know, Noble did attend the first Pig Roast.  I still remember that about 9 or 10 years ago, Noble had an old Oak tree die that had been in his family for years.  He sent me some wood from it and I had the privilege of making him and his family some keepsakes from the old tree.  He told me that tree had been in his family since he was a boy and before that.  I figure Noble is back to work now since his birthday is well over.

Jeff, I can't even remember when I was 50. You're just a young'n.  I've always said that I ain't that old but I'm badly worn.  Seems like you're in the same boat. I do remember one thing about when I was 50 (as Tom would say, back in the last century). That was the year I started using a shaving brush and mug.  I still use it too but I don't shave everyday.  You should get Tom to teach you how to sharpen a chainsaw.  The blistering hot summer day, back in 1995, when he worked me like a dog and fed me cold peas out of a can for lunch, he also taught me how to sharpen a chainsaw.  That short lesson has served me well over the years and it ain't hard.  There are just a couple of things to keep your eye on to know when it's sharpened right.

I had just the kind of birthday I wanted.  Very low key and relaxing.  I took Donna for a long motorcycle ride that day and she fixed me all the fried shrimp and crabcakes I could eat and pumpkin pie for my birthday pie!  Now....Old Tom is trying to make me think we are the same age, but he's Dang near 2 years my SENIOR!  8)  And always will be.

Bro. Noble

Well, Charlie,  I was pleased to just make it through another year.  Glad you had a good one 8)

Last week that old Ranger from Texas was here with his delightful wife and I was showing some of your handiwork to them.  They were impressed and I'm still really proud of them.  I was afraid that box with lid would warp,  but none of the pieces have moved a bit that I can tell 8)

I can personally verify that Charlie did indeed provide Bro. Noble with turnings of oak, saw them in a place of honor.

Oh, just read Bro Nobles post, there wasn't even any dust on your turnings, Bro. Noble must have tidied up before we got there. ;D
