That looks like it should work great. I can't help wondering if the mice and squirrels may enjoy chewing on it, though.... ::)

I also noticed that your trees are Red Oak, and not Sweetgum.   :)

If nothing else it might detract them from  chewing on the gas lines and flex brake lines of which they seem to be fond of .

If you're talking about the leaves on the ground, yes, I'm parked under a pair of red oaks.

If you're talking about my legs..... well then....... they are surely some red oaks.......
