Split a few pieces of wood Saturday - Pics

Well firewood bundling season is upon us and this saturday we went and picked up a well loaded trailer of logs that had been aged about 2 years and brought them back to the building. Fortunately, the firewood supplier has a very nice skid steer with even nicer grapple to make loading a snap. He loaded that trailer about 4 feet high and we had to strap the load down real good. Fortunately we were only going about 2 miles.



 


After milling a nice pile of Ash on the woodmizer LT-10, we cut the logs to firewood length and then I dug in and fired the splitter up. Yes that is me running the splitter



 

The picture below was taken when I was about half done with splitting the wood. At the end of the day ( after about 6 hours of splitting)  I had around 4 cords of nice dry wood ready to bundle this week.
