Looking for any info on it. Weight? Width? Hp? It has 30" rubber and a Deutz. The good and bad?

sandersen

Probably about 14000 to 15000 pounds give or take. Maybe about a bit less than 8 feet wide. Should be about 100 hp. Very easy to get on and off. Easy to work on generally. Parts readily available. Reliable if used with care. And just a great little cable Skidder!

I was told 10500lbs which seemed low. But 14 to 15k seems high. As does the 100hp it has a 4 cly deutz, I am thinking 60-70hp. I was hoping someone had a printed spec sheet to show.

Can any one help with the old Tjs info?

Well I know my 225 weighs 14400. Not sure what the 207 has for axles but mine has heavy Rockwell's if the 207 has light Rockwell's you could probably subtract 4 or 500. I believe the 207 is the same frame and winch as a 225. I'm pretty sure most 207s came with a 236 Perkins so someone must have added the deutz. And I know nothing about the deutz so I can't help you there. The original Perkins would have probably been 75 to 80.

I was thinking the 207 was smaller than a 225, not so? I had a 208 before so what do the numbers mean?

This is a neat thread about it: https://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?topic=91334.0

It looks like they never came to a consensus on what all the gibberish numbers and letters mean for a TJ?  :D

I have a 208d and I have a broshure (in another language) for a 208e which is the next newer than a d. It says it's 12,559 with Perkins and 12,723 with Detroit and standard 16.9x30 tires. I think the 207 is older series. Think the 208 225 and 230 are basically the same machine except the axles. Weight wise real close. Obviously heavier with heavy axles. But 1-2000 pounds I'd say.

Which is exactly why John Deere bought the company.  ;D Show me anyone who can make sense of the numbering system for JD Ag tractors.  I think the latest generation is the only one that bears any semblance of the number and the HP.

Is a front end piler a blade or different? Talking to a guy that had a Deutz put in so maybe shed some weight over a Perkins?
