Last post by Stephen1 - Today at 11:41:42 AMtawilson , air drying in the winter below freezing does not really happen and freezing does now sterilize the wood as stated. Our northern winter climate might dry wood a bit but it really starts drying again as the winds of March start blowing.

Carry a 8 and a 12 in my back pocket and thats usually enough especially when cutting big hardwood its usually going where it wants to go with only a little tweaking. Cutting pine I might put on a wedge pouch and carry 3 or 4 if im just chopping. Extra is in the skidder if needed.

I only see a hummer once in a while, maybe 6-8 times a day!
Racoon's been bothering my Oriole feeder during the night, so I started putting the feeder in the refrigerator on the back deck at dark!

Never seen so many . But we didn't have a dog for
10 years so that might make a difference. He's picking them up
on every walk. 10 min. walk this morning, picked 5 off him,
both deer and wood ticks.
