Got it to my gallery and cant get it to here!!!!  Help me!!!

Go to your gallery, select the image that you want, and then SCROLL down the page until you see the instructions (two options) to post your pic. Then always click on "Preview" button to test your post and see what it really is going to show. If not what you want, click on the "Modify" button and clean up the post so it is what you want.
The key mistake seems to be not scrolling down below the selected image to do what needs to be done.

Nice load of logs, and just the beginning of some happy times ridin high.

And there it is. The long wait is over, for a picture. ;D  THAT is a mighty fine looking truck.
A lot of logs went from Chesterville to Dixfield. We started with Dixfield Lumber, than Irving brought them. We sold them some ugly logs for pallet pine grade.

Nice looking Western Star woodhauler!! Do you know your light weight yet? Any load that makes it where it's going without problems is a legal load.

I was wondering how you could make it with a single unit. You can only haul about 4500 feet on a tri-axle here, this is why they have to pull a pup trailer.

If you pulled a trailer, every two loads you'd gain a load. So if you hauled 30 loads in a month pulling a tri- axle pup, you'd have to make 45 trips with just the truck to have hauled the same amount of wood. This would amount to a lot of wood in one year.

The Company had a tri-axle truck with a tri-axle trailer, they hauled 4500 to 6000 feet of logs, Birch saw bolts, 9 to 10 cords per-load.

If the road was a little soft, he'd leave the pup out on a high spot and load it there. I never had to help him turn around, the front axle on the pup was like a fifth wheel. He'd make sure the pup was straight behind the truck, then he'd lock the front axle on the pup so it couldn't steer. Then it backed up the same as backing up a boat trailer. I did see him get in to a bind a couple times, he'd get on the loader and move the pup where ever he wanted it.

I was taking a load of Balsam in to Sartell, with my Autocar [tractor trailer]. I had 14 cords of fresh cut Balsam on. It was about 3 am, i was just south of Remer by Rice Lake. I had just poured a cup of coffee getting settled in for the ride. When all of a sudden both my mirrors lite-up, i got stopped as quick as i could. I got out of the truck, i couldn't believe my eyes, the trailer busted in two. The front steering tires were foot off the road, it looked like the titanic going down :o. I was lucking that both sides of the trailer broke the same time. Can you imagine one side breaking at 60 mph.

He knows more about how to money with a truck alot more than I do,BUT there are many trucks in Maine just like his. There are alot of small wood lots owners like me. I use to have a guy that would haul my wood with probably just about the same size truck. There are trailers around with and without loaders. Takes a bigger landing to get a trailer truck in than a wheeler. I use to see those pups a little back in the 80's. I have not seen one around here for years.
