I would like to re-seed my pasture and I'm looking for an ATV spreader.I'd like to know what works for you.12 volt or pull behind?
Thanks,Mick

I have no idea which is best, but I use a 12v seeder/spreader.
I'm no expert on this subject, however I would think that using a 12VDC spreader mounted on an ATV would be a better choice on more topographies. Also it is difficult to get the same spread width with a unit where the rotor speed is determined by the speed of the spreader.
My brother used a 12VDC spreader mounted to the front rack to reseed a piece and when he got done had put down exactly half the seed he wanted to put in. So he started over going the other way and did it again.

MM and GAB,
Thanks for your replies.I think the 12 volt unit will be a better choice as my fields are definitely not flat.I'm looking at a Buyer's ATVS15A at the moment.
I haven't tried but but was told dragging a cedar top behind you as you seed will cover the seeds just about the right depth.
