I drove it around and right off I felt like I'm in a parade. Everyone looks at you at the stop light or just going down the road. Thumbs up, waves, yelling NICE.
All most uneasy feeling. But I'll get used to that.  ;)

Next week I have to get back to the sawmill thing. ;D

A rod like that is all about "look at me"   ;D

Not meaning that as a negative, it's just that it's MADE to show off and have fun in.  :D

I'm more of a "sleeper" guy.  ~270 hp in a "Corolla" is also a lot of fun

You should be able to get that corolla up to 500 hp with some go-fast work. If 270hp is fun, just think how much fun 500 would be.

Enjoy the new toy. I always love the old school hot rods.

So much for the green house, like that steering wheel.

Peter Drouin

I have been running the wheels off it around town. Why not go grocery shopping with it too.
Went to a car show the other day. First time for me. Nice people in all, But crazy on keeping the cars clean and waxed.
I felt like pig pen on peanuts.  My ratrod with mud and pollen on it. Had one guy tell me if I wax it the stuff will come off easily. I said I have a 3800 psi power washer at home.

The look on his face.        I'm always the square peg in a round hole.
But I don't care.

I turn up the horsepower on the rat rod. Went out on the tar road and gave it some. I thought the tires would just spin. NOT, It grabs the road the frame twisted a little with the motor, I knew that that would happing. but not break off the front shock mount. ::) ::) wow      ;)
Going to oil my 2 trucks today, and set the form for a slab for a new 10,000 lift.
At 64 years old I'm done getting on my knees to work on the trucks, The rat rod is 5" off the ground. Next year I'll put up a building over it.

I can't tell you how much fun that thing is to drive. I think the sawmill is jealous.
