Satamax

Hi everybody.

Well, the other day, I had a nasty problem.

Backed without raising the head. And the blade caught in the wood.

Result, a dead blade, and protections are a bit more chewed than previously.

This is on a French CD4 saw.

Called "la forezienne" to know the cost of replacement.  They are the main company in France, for stellite tipped wide band blade. Shock, horror. What I had done! A very unpleasant guy, replied to me, that they don't deal with small businesses.

I tell you that if I can avoid them in the future. I will.

But I am wondering now, what other options there is?

I know that there is some other businesses in Germany, Scandinavia, and the Balkans.

Thought, I don't know any of these.

Any eurolander over here, to give me leads?

Thanks guys.

Check with Woomizer in France, they have a web page. I believe their RazorTIP blades are stellite also. Not sure on the widths available.

OK, maybe I'm the woodcutter now.

Thanks a lot Old Greenhorn.

They have the right widths, but not the lengths. Mind you, i asked them if they would do custom blades.

I believe they should be able to help you out. They do custom lengths over here. They are good folks.
