Hey newbie here, anybody know what the factory carb settings are on a jonsered 670 champ? Had a friend of mine do some work on her (new fuel filter, carb rebuild, spark plug) but now settings seem to be off. Starts hard, won't stay ideling, figured id start at factory settings again. Thanks for any help in advance.

Good thought, it is 1.0 turn out from lightly seated on both the H and the L.

1 full turn out for the low, and 1.5 turns out for the high will put you in the ball park. if the saw will not stay idling you may need to turn up the idle screw as well ! for the set on that its usually turned in till the point on the screw touch's the throttle lever on the carb and 1 full turn in also... assuming the chain does not roll ? you may need to adjust in even more till the chain starts to roll and then back it off a little!
respect nature ! and she will produce for you !!  jonsered 625 670  2159 2171/28"  efco 147 husky 390xp/28" .375... 455r/auto tune 18" .58 gauge

I didn't own the 670 but my 630's settings as I remember them were 1 1/4 turn out on low and 3/4 on high.

My info was from the 1996 workshop manual.

The 1998 user manual say 1 1/4 on both H and L.....

That sounds about right for the newer versions, but my 630 when I used it was from 1984. I think the OP's 670 Champ would be from the late '80s .

As far as I know, the Champ appeard in 1991 or 1992, and was the same as the SuperII, while the original Super appeard late 1987?

Niko did these late 670s still have the HS Tilloston carbs?
My '93 272XP has the HS still.

The recommendation for the 266se and 266xp was H=3/4 and L=1 (according to OMs from 1983 and 1997), and I would not be surpriced if it was the same (or close) for the early versions of the 630 and 670.

I am not able to confirm it though.
