When I got started 45 years ago I started out with old running gears, my wife and I could get five logs on them by using the pickup rolling them up planks. Every now and then we would pull a bit to much and they would roll off the other side and we would start all over. One of my best running gears a fellow borrowed to bring some logs to our sawmill when he got there a few days later he told me he had pushed the lug nuts though the rims trying to load them. What topped this story he welded the rim to the lug nuts and studs !
