Is it really worth the early start?

I often have guys that cut on crown here say to me " u guys that cut on private are lucky you get an earlier spring start up then us" yesterday as I was pulling a skidder out of the mud I thought to my self is it really worth all the work of corderoing trails and fixing wet spots and dealing with the rain, or should we just wait to start up in July like the crown crews :S

Global warming,blame it on global warming  >:( .The last three lots I've got had water running on top of the ground till late Aug.
