Title: Planer heads
Post by: Dewey on July 14, 2021, 01:19:04 PM
I have a 4 sided Planer that uses the older style head that has Gibs that go in the heads and not the newer style that bolts through the head....  does anyone know where I could buy extra heads and Gibs???

I probably have 80 or so, most are Lineberry or Weinig.  I would need to know length, diameter, 1-1/2" or 2-1/8" bore, and cutting angle (softwood or hardwood).  Some are hydraulic heads.  The forum gets a percentage right off the top so we need to keep everything above board.  Get me in the ball park on size and I can post some on the for sale board.

Most of the heads have gibbs but they are easy to make.  Might be cheaper to buy new.  Might have a few knives also.  Heads can be shortened if you know what your doing.

Depending what model you have, belsaw.com may be able to help you out.
