We're having to sq up our barndo pad from the idiot concrete guy . I rented a makita mm4 - 4 stroke . Now I've not done a lot of concrete sawing , but this is the slowest I've ever cut crete . Blade is good
I know the exhaust is cleaner with the 4 stroke , but if it takes you twice as long , is it cleaner

That concrete guy must have been on crack. I would have made him come back and fix it. I have a small 12 inch electric one that cuts nice without any fumes but will only cut 4 inches deep.
Looks like a job for one of those stand-up walk behind saws like you see road crews use.

I have a little 12' "square" brick bathroom house (yes, it's that famous house you've all heard of) I'm redoing the inside of that was supposedly built in 1963.
One end is 3-1/2" wider than the other. I was gutting it anyway. I built a wedged shape wall down the middle to divide the two bathrooms, and "sistered" all the studs in the end wall to square the rooms up. I'm going to tile it, and don't want it to look stupid.
Makes you realize how much off the term "built like a brick ___house" was.
We once were using what might be the highest priced brick"____ "house on earth outside Ouray, CO on a jeep trail, off the Million Dollar hwy.
A local guy told us it was built at a government cost of nearly $300k is what sticks in my memory box.
Now that the depth is done , I'm going to use my 9' electric grinder with a 12" diamond blade to out out the out of sq piece . There'll be a shelf there and i'll use that for the side walk to rest on

Wife doesn't want him on the property . she'll not even allow me to file a small claims against him . The fix is on me unfortunately . He's done concrete work for us nearly a decade . sidewalks , retaining walls etc , never an issue
I just purchased an electric 16" . I have other concrete that needs to be removed when we build the house and don't like the idea of cutting it all over a 2 or 3 day period . This way I can do it little by little and when it's a whole lot cooler . Was 104° yesterday

Then had to cut to ma saw depth from there . Since this is an outside wall going from 4" to 0 , no place the wheeled one to travel , plus there's a cross wall
@tom king agreed . with half of this out of square being a porch , the posts wood have ben placed straight , so the mess up wood be very noticeable

Yeesh. After I had viewed the forms setup, I wouldn't have let him make the pour.
I just had a 30x40 foundation put in with a 4ft apron. I was asking the guy about his laser measuring tools, how they determine grading, etc. The guy was talking about how the tools made everyone idiots now because no one does the actual math anymore. We measured the dimensions together with tape. He was maybe 25 years old.
Family biz w/ mexican helpers that did a *DanG good job.
I just bought a cheap one off Amazon, but haven't used it yet. I found a floor drain in that brick bathroom house that needs to be moved for a shower that my Wife wants in there. This was about as cheap as me going to get a rental, paying the fee, and carrying it back.
I buy the cheapest 4-1/2" grinders, figuring they'll be disposable anyway, and use a water hose. I'm not breathing that dust. I've never had enough of this to do to justify buying a gas powered one. This to cut an old footing for a new service entrance cable ugrading a 200 amp overhead to 400 amp underground on a rental house.
