made eggnog from a cookbook my grandma gave me when I went off to college.  40 years now.  12 eggs separated and beaten (sorry @Southside  ) until yolks are lemon colored (sorry @YellowHammer  ) 1.5 cups sugar, quart of heavy cream and a quart of whole milk.

you can add whiskey, bourbon, rum, spices ect.  I work tonight at 7pm.  "8 hours bottle to throttle!" so I will not drink alcohol today, but my wife added some bourbon.  8)

Yep, happy new year.  Roll Tide, its starting out well.

Theres nothing like home made eggnog.
YellowHammerisms:

Take steps to save steps.

If it wont roll, its not a log; its still a piece of tree.  Sawmills cut logs, not pieces of trees.

Kiln drying wood: When the cookies are burned, theyre burned, and you cant fix them.  Dont burn the cookies.

Happy new year to all and congratulations to Yellowhammer and his pink pachyderms. I'm sorry I can't say it went that well for us but I watched one play where the Minnesota ball carrier carried the whole AU defense another 4-5 yards after we thought we had him stopped. I figure we did not lose - we got beat. I think my wife jinxed us - she did not fix the Black-eyed peas till the game was already over.
