@caveman
You must confuse the heck out of your dog :o, or maybe help to clear the sinus of the hound before hunting.

Vick's vapor rub.  Sounds crazy and does not heal them but after the initial shock it provides some relief.  When you feel like you are sitting on a campfire, you will try just about anything.
Yup I say vic's cures any ailment  :o

When I was younger and busy framing houses, found that eating an apple a day kept the hemerhoids away.

most stool softeners help, so a hard dry stool does not rip them open (conjured a visual I assume)  not sure about the vics eucalyptus, although it may take your mind off your hemorrhoid as you run around the room screaming!   :o :o :o 8) 8) 8) wait_smiley wait_smiley wait_smiley arg-smiley arg-smiley logrite_cool arg-smiley arg-smiley taz-smiley taz-smiley taz-smiley bon_fire dancing-jack smiley_deadheader_ride_alligat smiley_horserider

Doc, I kinda thought the same thing! I have some jalapeno peppers, maybe I could rub some of that juice around I bet I'd forget about the hemorrhoids!😂

I feel like my situation is not typical- I don't "go" very often, but I'm not constipated, at least not in the sense of things being hard being the issue. I sit in a cab all day and I just don't have to go very often. I know I need to move more (walking etc.) I used Mira-lax for quite a while that my Dr prescribed me, it didn't really change anything. I might go 5-6 days in between bm's and then it's a "big job"😳 But, it is not hard, dry stool I experience. At any rate, I'm going in on Monday for round 2 of banding, hopefully this takes care of it or I will be seeking out a specialist, or just living with it I guess.

there are many definitions of constipation.  you might do better to go more often, but getting there is the question.  you can train your bowels, but overuse of laxatives is not good.  see if you can make it happen every day or so for a while,  increase fiber and water ect.  they are literally a pain in the ash.

If you were a cat we would try adding canned pumpkin to your diet, but for you, I'd go the pie route. :)

Mine were surgically repaired in 1990, age 47. I also got scoped same day for colon AND I watched that on color TV! Preparation H is a joke and waste IMO. Steroids were not much help either for me. My doc told a friend who taught electrical at my tech school he was an [I have typed a profane word that is automatically changed by the forum censored words program I should know better] doctor he guessed-HA! :D
He had a some what medieval device which he tried on me to cauterize mine prior to surgery. A nasty black rod that went "up there", as it were. Yes, I remember him doing it a few times.
He also told me I had the largest butt he'd worked with.
The first bowel movement is a genuine, once in a lifetime experience. My SIL's beautician said it was as bad as childbirth for her. I'll have to defer to her life experiences cause I never "had" a baby-yet... ;D
I'm sure no fanboy of pain pills-I mostly flush em after joint surgeries but honestly speaking- when I ran out of morphine I was wanting some more of those beautiful red pills.
So far, so good and no rectal bleeding since then.

I got the second round of banding, and it was much more painful than the first time around. I think the Doc was much more aggressive this time since I had to come back (I insisted I be put under for the procedure). I was pretty well out of commission for a week, went in and tried to work one day. Not extreme pain, more like extremely uncomfortable. Feeling much better a month or more out, and things are working a lot better. Hopefully it lasts, I'm really thinking I need to get out of that operator's seat though. We'll see.
