Iffin it was in GA, I know you are only allowed to advertise by the cord ( not face) and you have to state what kind of wood you are selling (oak, pine, hickory, etc. and it has to be within a certain %).  I would first make sure my competition abidded by BOTH the federal and state rules.

Then if I felt like it, I would beat or match on wood cost and make my money on service.

If I knew what my seasoned wood had for a moisture level I would advertise that, along with $99 a cord.
