Help on Pricing
« on: September 22, 2009, 02:13:42 PM »
Boy ,I sure could use some info on how to charge for pallets parts!
For a 53 ' trailer full!
Not sure how many a trailer holds!

Size of parts for each pallet---3-1 3/8 x 3 1/2 x 48
                                             4- 5/8 x 5 1/4 x 40
                                             9- 5/8 x 3 1/2 x 40
Never have sawed this type of order.
I have access to lots of short logs for free ,Should say for the cost of hauling and handling!
Any advice would sure be appreciated!

I checked into it about a year ago. Came to 24 cents a foot. Actual measure. That was on the slats and rails.

Thanks WH appreciate your responce.
I had worked on a price and come up with a little more ,but I think you price is more in line with what pallet folks would pay! ;D

I tried one bundle of the stuff, by the time cost manufacturing was counted it made me more money to leave it in the slab and sell the slab for firewood. More automation would change the bottom line.
