Hi over here in New Zealand we have an organisation “Willing workers on organic farms” that billets mainly tourists wanting to experience a bit of Kiwi lifestyle the basic deal is four hours work a day in return for free board an food. Most of the Woofers are young Europeans on their gap year but some are mature retired people travelling the world on the cheap.
When I have a project on I often get one or two in When they are not working I take them on a horse trek swimming in the river and the like. By the time you have fed them and entertained them it doesn’t work out cheap labour but adds interest to the job and bring back memories of when I was young and travelling
Any millers planning on coming to New Zealand on holiday keen on a similar deal please get in touch
