HemLock Logs
« on: February 25, 2012, 09:00:12 PM »
I am located in Church Hill TN zip 37642. I am in bad need for atleast one truck load, or more of hemlock logs. I have a good demand in the area but can't find anyone to find me any.

Is this a one-time need, or an on-going need? When's your dead-line?

This is an ongoing need. Another mill close to me needs some also.  I have no deadline right now, I just get lots of calls for people looking for it, and no other mills in my area can get it. Looks like the demand for hemlock is high in northeast TN, but the supply is limited.

Do you mind telling us what ball-park price you are giving for logs? We have some down here but they are not in thick stands. I can check around... I am maybe 120 miles from you. Do you come get them, or do you need us to truck them to you?

I had been paying between 200 to 250 per thous for Hemlock. I would have to get them sent to me. I dont have any log trucks or anyone that hauls for me. I usually just have the logger bring them to me at my mill. If i could get a good price and it's not to high to have you all bring them up here (room enough for a profit) I would be very interested in getting a few truck loads.

Well at 250/k we would have to find a whole truckload in one place to make it at all worth it. Hemlock is found scattered around here, unfortunately. at 400/k we might start to accumulate it, and so on.

I emailed you. But hopefully something could be done for you in that price range, I will just have to check around. All I can promise is I will look into it.  :)

Not enough in one place here to make a worthwhile load.
