Staying logged on the Forum, Forever
« on: June 09, 2013, 11:10:43 AM »
I was thinking by staying logged on to the Forum "forever" was a good thing.  The Customsawyer tried to call me the other day, thinking I was home because I was "logged on".    Anyway, I decided just to be "logged in" only when I am at the computer. BTW, I think if it were not for the Forum,  I would not even need  a computer.

It is my understanding that you cannot stay logged on "forever".  After about 15 minutes of inactivity, you are automatically logged off.

It is a misnomer that you stay on the list because you choose stay logged on forever. You do not stay on the list just because you choose logged on forever. You drop from the list after 15 minutes of inactivity. You simply don't have to log on when you come back is what the forever does for you. If you are the only one that uses your computer, or you completely trust anyone else that does, its a good option. If you are using a public computer, or a computer that others may have access to, it is not a good idea.  You will always see yourself on the list if you are logged in.
