Anybody have tips for stacking boards of different lengths. I dont have covered space to stack multiple stacks of multiple species......
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

How much variation in length in one stack?

He many species?

Will you air dry first?

Lengths are 8, 10, and 12. Stacking to air dry. 1x and 2x.....

If in one stack, put the longest pieces on the edge.  Then alternate the short pieces end to end.  However, maybe half the mills stack with all the pieces even on one end.  Your choice.  I like even end stacking this week.  Obviously, end coat.  With mixed thickness, put the thinner stacks near the ground, and thick on top.  In the kiln, mix species and thicknesses after air drying, but never mix MCs.
