Title: Mitre Peak.

Not for those afraid of heights....

Mitre Peak: Summiting New Zealand’s Most Iconic Mountain in a Day - YouTube (https://youtu.be/uHom-2e7EwY)

It's "only" 5,500 ft, but it's rising straight from the sea.

We visited there about 6 months back, but settled for the  boat ride. :D

This is the view from the boat, looking at where they started. and up the ridge they climbed.

And from the boat looking up to the peak (in the clouds).

Oh man!  I'd go up there in a heart beat.  New Zealand is still on my list of places to go.  I wanted to go there on my honeymood 20 years ago, but it was a lot more expensive than going to Ireland.  Maybe I'll get there someday before I'm too old to climb up to 5500 feet.
