This was an unusual sight.

It was late in the evening and there was this one single cloud with the setting sun shining through the fringes.

Here's one from the Billarosa looking out on the smoky mountains

And here's one taken off Clearwater Beach of a summer storm going by.

It's too bad there wasn't a telescope there but there is a picture on the internet of the Martian sky. In it, you can see the earth glowing like a star. The article said that if you were standing there, you could see the earth and our moon. Pretty cool stuff.

I took this with my phone when I left the house this morning. Hopefully it's a decent quality picture, it's hard to tell on my phone.

The picture doesn't do justice to how silky the clouds looked.

Pillars of creation!  I was mowing grass and looked up to see this.  I knew it looked familiar.  Uncanny resemblance to the largest of the pillars of creation.

Probably the best rainbow I've ever seen.  Was a little bit darker a few minutes earlier.

thecfarm

I just saw a rainbow too. The other end went behind the trees.

When I look at the art that's nature provides,  I wonder how mere humans could create anything more spectacular.   The other day I came through a small field that was yellow with flowers I think are black eyed susans.   I took a picture but it didn't capture the sight.  Almost ever time of the year there are flowers in the woods and fields.

I would not want to get caught in a boat with a sky like those, Bill. Those last couple have a kind of an alien look to them... especially the last one.

That happens just about everyday here during the summer. They pop up, dump a couple inches of rain in a few minutes then disappear.

Raider Bill

We were out riding Saturday evening and took these. I was trying to outrun the rain coming from behind us. Took these from the top of a bridge. My photographer was a little shaky :D

A couple shots of opposite sides of caribou lake this evening. This is about a half mile from here at the cabin.
