This is sorta like Tom's holey Oak Club, only much more dangerous, and much farther North. This ravenous tree lives on my property in da U.P. See if you can identify the victims members inducted so far. ;D

Isn't it the property owners responsibility to protect visitors from mean dogs, icey steps and hungry trees? :D
Dave
I led every one of them right to it, so the answer is
NO! (evil laugh) ;) It put on 2 inches in diameter in one summer. 8) :-X ;)
What kind of tree is it, a carnivorous duck-billed poplar?
Dave

Whooee! That tree has big lips. Almost as big as Houlihan's. Could almost pass as Jolie's but the size of that trunk gives it away, It's a Jimmy J.J. Walker, sure as shootin'.
::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
Heh heh. That's the coolest tree ever. It'd fit right into a Tolkien movie. ;D
But the real question is: How much liquid encouragement did it take before these people got wise enough to put their hands in there? :D :D
Jeff musta been the only one drinkin water and not "liquid encouragment" smiley_beertoast . He seems to be the only one there that wasn't brave enough to get close to it.Or ...... Maybe he is a "little more right" smiley_scholar than the others there!! :D :D :D
Adam, that tree is Jeff's pet and he has to feed it sometime. :D
I can agree with that.
And that sucker has teeth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup ;D 8) :) ;D 8)
I thought Kevin was pressing the hidden button and collecting his prize! ;)
Ok Dan, you're a marked man now. ;D
I've been seing a guy walking through town that'd make Kevin look like he's wearing woodland camo. They must be hunting duds, but they haven't been dulled by use, this guy is almost neon. Head to toe, bright blaze orange. :D

Weekend Sawyer meets his fate. :)

Oh, Megodd, it's his throttle/brake hand :o
We and da tree was trying to get him ta stay longer.
You guys were warned.........not to go into the woods. pull_smiley
Thats one BAD tree. Glad he's hanging around your house. You could teach him a lesson by detaching his lips and doing some wood burning on them....... ::) ::)

Don't let him cut up that tree with his new chainsaw :).
Is that the man? the myth? the legend? Is that Swampdonkey?
Yes Roxie, the one and only Swampdonkey.
That's awesome! :D :D :D
I'm now very familiar with Jeff's woodlot, Lou's, Pete's and just about anywhere between Goetzville and De Tour. ;D
Thanks for the good times Jeff. :)
Are ya home Donk? Thanks for going up. It was great to be able to get to talk face to face. :)
Yeah, got in at 6:30 this evening. I think I did it from Ottawa in 10 hours this time. Man, them Quebecers push the envelope. :D
, Well no sense holding traffic back now ... ::) ;D
We left the falls at 11:30 and got here at about 25 after nine on monday . :)
When up to the UP with Jeff, he stopped by the elevator at Pickford for some bear feed. I took a shot of the building. One of them buildings I'd like to be able to see in years to come. Kind of like the idea of a community hall or church. :)
